East Devon

The landscape paintings are studies of areas I have visited and places that are in and around my home town of Sidmouth.  This is the first time I have taken a serious interest in painting landscapes.  I was inspired greatly by the East Devon artist Alan Cotton who I met during the 2009 exhibition I held at Kennaway House in Sidmouth.  Alan advised me on my work and gave me a lot of encouragement for which I am very grateful. I intend to continue working on landscapes but hope to move away from using photographs as my main source material and spend more time working from life.
