The Sepia Project

This project was started in 2002 and completed in 2004.  The paintings were exhibited for my final degree show and were completed whilst at Falmouth College of Art.  The body of work was done as an exploration into portrait painting using photographs, with influences taken from contemporary artists such as Alex Katz, John Currin and Lucian Freud and the Renaissance painter Vermeer.  The subjects in the paintings are members of my family and friends.
